Saturday afternoon bliss

The last Saturday in February, sitting on the sofa with the sun streaming in through the window, stitching a quilt for a princess . . .

. . .  listening to her dulcet tones as she rehearses a song of angels . . . and wondering (slightly tearfully) where on earth such a voice came from.

Pomona, that is a very pretty quilt indeed! Are you feeling better now winter is almost done and dusted? Can you feel spring pulling at your shoelaces? You do wear shoes with shoe laces right?

I felt just as emotional by my 8 year old son's guitar playing yesterday and by the fact his teacher said he was a very musical boy. Sigh.

Can I shyly tell you I am having a giveaway? You may know this already and you may also be suffering from giveaway indigestion. In case you are not... can and check my goods out!!!

Lovely quilt. My brother was told years ago at school that he had a lovely singing voice. Since the rest of us can barely sing and my mother is tone deaf we were similarly puzzled as to where he got it from.

Pomona, that quilt is a true beauty, and somehow, I do think that you might have some role in creating that Princess's voice?

What a beautiful and cheerful quilt - highly fitting for an angelic-voiced Princess.

Hope the teeth are doing well.

ha! when people have (infrequently) said that about me, I always thought they said DORSET tones!

What a precious post! (and lovely quilt). I too am amazed quite often and talents that my girls have. In many ways I live through them...experiencing things I only dreamed of as a child.

There are so many moments in our child's life that bring us to tears.
Those of joy and wonder are to be cherished forever. Just like that sweet quilt you have made for the Princess.

Looks so pretty and feminine.

Beautiful fabrics, I bet a certain Princess is getting excited and probably hoping the singing encourages the sewing to speed along!

The quilt looks scrummy...I wish I was a princess! I wish Hector dog was as clever as yours. He would most likely piddle on them or throw the bowl into the air as if it were a small furry creature. Dev x
