Intruders beware |
Why do Scottie dogs always have a scarlet collar and an air of importance quite out of proportion to their size?
Who is really doing the taking? |
(It was just too much being completely wordless for the second Wednesday running, she said, her head over-running with words all spilling out on to the desk. Three books on the go and an index to fit into under three pages were having an interesting effect on her brain. Did somebody mention barking?)

What a lovely picture! New blog layout. When did you take the snow picture?
In their own minds, little dogs are the size of a Great Dane. :) Love 'em for it too.

my friend Kirsty has 2 Scotties who think they are VERY big little dogs- it wasn't until I met them that i realised how very near to the ground they are, and these two just LOVE running in the mud!
Yes, a Very Important looking dog! :) x
We have a little white website dog called Alfie and I know exactly what you mean, lots of self importance even though they are so small! But they are the cutest, your Scottie dog is so sweet and I love their little red collar. Hope your week is going well at the mo, safxxx
I meant westie dog, pops!xx
so cute!
our miniature dachshund has been known to even scare off dobermans ;)
Little dogs always have an air or importance, but I do agree that Scotties show it off the best, well they look sooooo important in their red collars don't they! :-)
Scotties Georgie & Bella live next door to us, and they do indeed sport red (royal stewart tartan, to be precise!) collars and RULE the street. Our Labs (at least double the size) bow to their superiority!
xx
The smaller the dog the bigger the attitude!
What a sweet doggie and wonderful snowdrops in bloom!
Very cute dog and great picture.

Vigilance in every line of his body.
And the collar must be scarlet to contrast with the black fur - this lends the proper military air, reminiscent of the Scots Guards.
Hi there! I found you on Helen Phillipps blog list and loved reading your blog! We have a Cairn terrier and I've always loved the Scotty. Lucky that you have one! Nice to meet you.. ((hugs)), Teresa :-) (A blogger from Oregon, USA)
